full_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-small Submitted Jan. 15, 2015 Dr. Goetz is a knowledgable, caring and empathetic professional. His diagnosis of my thumb injury (UCL injury with small avulsion fractures – skiers thumb) was in stark contrast to the previous surgeon i was assigned. Thorough analysis, answers to all my questions, recommendations and risks, but mainly will only consider surgery if it is necessary. Great sense of humour, and puts your needs and concerns first. I recommend him highly, and am pleased that there are surgeons like him teaching the next generation of medical students in vancouver, of which he had one with him performing diagnosis as well. A big thanks Dr. Goetz and to the team at st. pauls – you are special people and you change the trajectory of peoples lives on a daily basis.
full_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-small Submitted Feb. 10, 2014 I finally saw Dr Goetz who was highly recommended by my doctor. I had an elbow injury last summer and Dr Goetz has thoroughly done an examination. He knows exactly what he is doing. I must say he is brilliant and well-knowledgeable surgeon. In addition, I needed a solution for my pain in my ankles. Dr Goetz went an extra mile and checked for me. Although he does not specialize in that area but he referred me to a specialist for ankles. Thank you so much Dr Goetz and the staff of St Paul hospital. The staff are great and provided me excellent services.
full_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-small Submitted Nov. 23, 2012 What an amazing doctor!! We come from Victoria, BC to see Dr. Goetz in Vancouver and the trip was very well worth it. My husband had Dupuytren surgery (not by Dr. Goetz) which left him unable to fully close his left hand. We have seen many doctors since the surgery and no one has been able to help. Dr. Goetz was the only one who after completing an xray confirming he did not have arthritus and examining his hand and motions confirmed he had dost dupuytren flare reaction as well as regional pain syndrome. He recommend an Occupational Therapist to order a custom made splint which should help with the closing of his hand and if this doesn’t work he has plan 2. What a GREAT experience and to have such an amazing doctor!! He bedside manner skills were also GREAT and overall a doctor who knows his stuff very well worth his title. The staff also at St Pauls hospital were great and overall made our experience excellent. Would strongly recommend Dr. Goetz!!
